| It was a very hot day in the cockpit of this 737. The outside temperature was 95 degrees and the sun was blistering.
This is a photo of the inside of the cockpit. Normally, we'd be looking through the windshield of the plane to the outside. However, the heat inside the cabin made it impossible for the captain to continue planning the flight. This is how he used his chart. | |

Kent County International Aiport which serves the Grand Rapids area, was chosen by the FAA as the National Air Traffic Facility of the Year for small and medium-size U.S. airports, topping 350 others.
