What the users say about Mission: Blackhawk

    Our new Mission Series takes advantage of the excellent scripting and animation features offered by the Flight Simulator X's Mission Building Kit.

    Mission: Blackhawk is the first title in the series and we've already had some encouraging comments from users about our initial flying adventures.

    Well gang, I was one of the first to download and experience this "gem" from Abacus...and let me sum it up in 2 words...AWE-SOME!

    Abacus has hit the head on the nail with this FSX mission add-on. First off, the "Hawk" model helicopters are great visually, as well as flyable. They come complete with virtual cockpit and sounds, and they are a dream to fly.

    But the REAL beauty of this product is, of course, the missions. Six GREAT, (and I DO mean GREEEAATT) missions to wet your appetite! Everything from SAR missions (Search and Rescue) surrounded by tornados, to Naval ship replenshments at sea. One mission is even a "two-parter" about a terrorists plot to seize an off-shore oil rig, and you've got the chance to be the hero and save the world! But the mission that stands out, for me, was "The Incident"..a mission where Area 51 meets the "Men in Black"! Unlike anything you've experienced in an FSX Mission yet!

    You better practice up on your helo flying skills for the "expert" mission "Operation Anti-Acid". It's a wartime replenishment mission to test even the best rotorcraft pilot out there! In each mission you have a different crew, complete with dialogue from them, and great flying music to put you in the mood. You'll get to know and love all the characters you fly with. They're a serious bunch, but they can be quite hilarious also!

    And finally, Abacus stands out with customer support. Upon installation, I had a problem with the scenery, and called the Abacus support line. The call was answered immediately, and within minutes she, thats right fellas, SHE solved the problem. An avid female flight simmer! We chatted about flight simming, and she was a wealth of information. She really knew her stuff. I was VERY impressed, and told her as much.

    So, fellow simmers, if you want action, if you want adventure, if you want it all....fly Mission: Blackhawk! It will keep you on the edge of your seat for hours on end...and leave you begging for more from the fine folks at Abacus. Two-thumbs WAY UP!
