Question:
Can I use VASS to repaint any aircraft?

Answer: You can use VASS to repaint any aircraft for which you have the FS Design Studio source file (*.fsc).

Please keep in mind that VASS is a companion program to FS Design Studio. In order to paint or texture an aircraft or 3D scenery project with VASS, you'll need to have the original FS Design Studio source file. By working seemlessly with FSDS, you can texture the project with utmost accuracy.

Another program for designing aircraft is GMAX. VASS does not support the GMAX file format and so you cannot use VASS to repaint GMAX aircraft.

Question: I'm using FSDS Version 2.2x which was just released. When I try to load a new FSDS project, VASS is telling me that the file format is invalid. What is the problem?

Answer: FSDS V2.2x was recently released and has a revised file format to support additional animation and display features. VASS is unable to read this modified file format at this time.

You can download the update to VASS which solves this problem. Sorry for any inconvenience.
