Spectrum 33 from the Premier Collection

Flying the Spectrum 33

Install the Spectrum 33 into your FS2004 \aircraft folder. If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions on our installation page.

Press the 'S' key to see the 2D cockpit; press the 'S' key again to see the 3D cockpit and twice more to see the helicopter from the spot plane view. Here's a quick walk around:

  • Press 'E' to start the engine.
  • Press the stick forward and back to see the elevators move up and down
  • Shift + 'E' to see the door open and close
  • In the 3D cockpit view you'll see the yoke and pedals move.

Takeoff
Taxi out and line up on the centerline of the runway.

Set the flaps to 15 degrees. Set brakes. Advance throttle until N1 is 100% and release the brakes. Rotate at about 115 knots.

Retract gear when abeam end of runway. Retract flaps at 150 knots.

Climb to cruising altitude with N1 at 90%.

Landing

With 15 degrees of flaps, approach speed s about 130 knots.

On short final drop landing gear and full 40 flaps. Your lLanding speed is about 100 knots.
