Flying the Piper Navajo

Install the Piper Navajo into your FS2002 \aircraft or FS2000 \aircraft folder. If you haven't alredy done so, follow the instructions on our installation page. You can get a gook look at the feature of the Navajo from spot plane view by pressing the 'S' key three times. As you "walk around" notice: If it isn't already on, press 'E' to start the engine and see the two props start to spin. Press the stick forward and back to see the elevator move up and down. Press the stick from side to side to see the rudder and ailerons move. Give it full throttle and watch the props whirl as engines come alive. Takeoff The Navajo is easy to handle. Taxi out to the runway and position the craft on the center line. Give it full throttle and she'll build ground speed quickly. At about 75 knots you can begin rotation. Don't pull back too much, the Navajo will lift itself off the runway and you'll be airborne. If you change to spote view, you'll see the gear tuck smoothly into the undercarriage. Landing Approach at about 90-105 knots with full flaps depending on your load. Stall speed is about 65-70 knots so you won't have to come in "hot". Pull back on the throttles just before you level off above the runway and she'll bleed off speed rapidly and set right down for a greaser.
