Flying the Gulfstream III

Install the Gulfstream III into your FSX \SimObjects\Airplanes folder or FS2004 \aircraft folder. If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions on our installation page.

Press the 'S' key to see the 2D cockpit; press the 'S' key again to see the 3D cockpit and twice more to see the aircraft from the spot plane view.

Here's a quick walk around:

  • Press 'E' to start the engine.
  • Press the yoke forward and back to see the elevator move
  • Press the yoke from side to side to see the ailerons move
  • Shift + 'E' to see the cabin door open and close

Takeoff

For takeoff, use 20 degrees of flaps. Taxi out the the runway and line up. When you've been cleared, apply full throttle.

With maximum load, rotate at 140 knots, pull back with authority and you'll be airborne.

When abeam the end of the runway, retract the landing gear (press the 'G' key) and you'll quickly build up speed.

Climb to crusing altitude.

Landing

Approach speed on final is about 148 knots with maximum landing load.

Lower flaps to 30 degrees and extend landing gear.
