Flying the Grob SPn ExecuJet

Install the Grob SPn ExecuJet into your FS2004 \aircraft folder. If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions on our installation page.

Press the 'S' key to see the 2D cockpit; press the 'S' key again to see the 3D cockpit and twice more to see the helicopter from the spot plane view. Here's a quick walk around:

  • Press 'E' to start the engine.
  • Press the stick forward and back to see the elevators move up and down
  • Shift + 'E' to see the door open and close
  • In the 3D cockpit view you'll see the yoke and pedals move.

Takeoff
Taxi out and line up on the centerline of the runway.

Set the flaps to 20 degrees. Set brakes. Move throttle to takeoff position. Rotate at about 115 knots.

Retract gear when abeam end of runway. Retract flaps at 140 knots.

Climb to cruising altitude.

Landing

With 20 degrees of flaps, approach speed varies from 120 to 120 knots depending on landing weight (13,000 vs 20,000 lbs).

On short final drop landing gear and deploy the full 40 degrees of flaps.
