  • After you take off, press 'G' to see the landing gears fold into the fuselage underneath.

Takeoff

Taxi out and set flaps (F7). Give it full throttle and accelerate. Upon reaching 40 knots you'll be on the hump so give it slight forward pressure on the stick to keep there. When you reach 90 knots pull back and you'll be airborne.

Climb to your desired cruising altitude and set throttle to cruising speed.

Firefighting

The usual speed for flying the firefighting circuit is 150 knots. As you approach the drop spot, slow to 105-110 knots. The heat of the fire will cause turbulence.

Upon reaching the target, drop the water (I).

Accelerate to 150 knots for your next go-around.

Landing

You can approach at about 120 knots.

On short final, drop your flaps to full (F8) and lower your gear (G).

Stall speed is about 70 knots. Touch down on the main gear and gently lower the nose gear.
