Takeoff
We'll use the wheeled version of the Skywagon for this example.

Taxi to the runway and line up with the center line. After completing your checklist you're ready to go.

Apply full throttle. When you reach about 55 knots, push gently on the yoke to lift the tailwheel from the runway surface. At about 70 knots pull back slightly on the stick and you'll be airborne.

Gain speed and climb to cruising altitude.

Landing

Approach speed is about 100 knots.

On final, using one notch of flaps you'll fly at about 85 knots

On short final add full flaps.

Touch down at 70 knots on the main gear. As your speed bleeds off the tailwheel will settle on the runway.
