Takeoff
Make sure that your water rudders are deployed (Shift 'W'). Taxi to your takeoff position while keeping the yoke back to keep the prop out of the water spray. When you reach the starting position, retract the water rudders (Shift 'W') and lower the flaps two notches.

As you apply throttle, hold the yoke back so that the tips of the float are out of the water. As you accelerate, the nose will come up and you'll probably have to apply right rudder to keep the plane from veering to the left.

As you reach the nose-high attitude, ease up on the yoke back pressure. The plane will increase speed as it settle on the float's step. When you reach about 65 knots, pull back slightly being cafeful not to bury the floats in the water.

Climb to your desired cruising altitude and set throttle to cruising speed (about 95 knots).

Landing

For landing approach the landing area at about 70 knots. On short final drop full flaps.

Set down on the water surface at about 55 knots.

You should be able to maneuver in the water without the water rudders at moderate speeds.

Drop the water rudders (Shift 'W') to taxi at slow speeds.
