Safire Aircraft Company's goal is to produce a comfortable, six seat jet at a reasonable price. The company's Safire Jet is aimed at satisfying a customer base that needs a small personal aircraft in the $1.4 million price range.

Designed to be operated by a single pilot, it can cruise at 380 knots at 41,000 ft. Powered by twin Williams FJ33-4 turbofan engines, it can operate at airports with 2,500 ft runways.

The company is hoping to deliver the first production models in 2006. Based on published specifications, w ell-known designer Brian Gladden has modeled the new Safire Jet.

Ths Safire Jet also includes a new "glass primary flight display" designed by Tony D'Ambrosio.
