Answer: Download and install Update 3 below which replaces the original FSX Catapult Installer for the catapult. After running the update, run the FSX Catapult Installer for FSX from the Start | Programs | Abacus | Flight Deck 4 menu. After installing this update, the loading times for all Flight Deck 4 aircraft will be significantly faster.

Flight Deck 4 for FSX Update 3 Since Flight Deck 4 for FSX was initially released, several user pointed out several minor problems. We thank you all for your patience during the time that we were investigating the cause and looking for solutions to these bugs. These items were fixed via previous updates and are also included in the Update 3: Unable to install the catapult launcher Slow loading time when changing to one of the Flight Deck 4 aircraft Slow loading time when using any of the presaved flights which use one of the Flight Deck 4 aircraft These items are fixed in Update 3: Aircraft carriers changed to correct wake and night display Replacement preflights required for the aircraft carriers Tailhook toggle gauge added to Greyhound, Hawkeye and Prower 2D and virtual cockpit panels to allow quick access for landing Catapult and cable locations adjusted for aircraft carriers Catapult speed lowered to 125 knots Parking brake strenghened for aircraft stability during launch Please note that the changes in Update 3 have already been incorporated into the full download version of Flight Deck 4 and the Flight Deck 4 Update 3 for FSX (see above). Users who have downloaded and installed the full Flight Deck 4 or FlightDeck4_Upgrate3ForFSX.exe after July 6, 2007 need not download nor install this update. If you have installed the full download version of Flight Deck 4 for FSX prior to July 26, 2007, you can download and run the following program to apply Update 3 to your previously installed copy of Flight Deck 4.
