Aircraft Animator
Add Moving Parts To All of Your Planes

New Version 1.2 for FS Design Studio

Aircraft Animator is the simplest tool yet for adding moving propellers, landing gear, flaps, spoilers and landing lights to Flight Simulator aircraft. With just a few mouse clicks, you can turn "tired and sleepy" planes into dynamic, exciting aircraft.

You don't have to be a designer to use Aircraft Animator. You'll need neither Aircraft Factory 99 nor Flight Shop except for advanced animation of rudders, elevators, ailerons, and other parts.

Aircraft Animator is able to sniff out those flaps, propellers and landing gear and set them in motion in no time flat!

What The Users Say about Aircraft Animator:

    Aircraft with Moving Parts

Moving parts aren't new. However, they aren't widely available yet. The reason is that creating a plane with moving parts has always been one of those black arts. Designers have had to "jump through hoops" in order to animate the control surfaces.

We're hoping to make hoop jumping a thing of the past by introducing you to Aircraft Animator.

Konstantin Kukushkin, affectionately known as Dr. Flight Sim, is a well-known internist of flight sim medicine. In his research and development activities he's uncovered ways to add moving parts to Flight Shop and Aircraft Factory 99 planes. The result is Aircraft Animator, a simple, yet ingenious utility that everyone can use.

After using Aircraft Animator, your "plain jane" aircraft will never be the same.

Parts is parts. Or are they?

Just 3 Clicks to Moving Parts

    STEP 1
You can add moving parts to virtually any of your favorite planes even if you've never designed an aircraft before.

When you first start Aircraft Animator, it collects information about all of the aircraft that are in your FS2000, FS98 or CFS folders.

For basic animation, first select your FS2000, FS98 or CFS system. All of your aircraft are displayed in AA's drop down menu. Notice you don't need Aircraft Factory 99 or Flight Shop to add these moving parts.

The example dialog box on the right shows a partial list of this user's Flight Simulator 98 aircraft. Simply scroll through the list and select the aircraft which you'd like to animate and click Next.

The Wizard - Selecting an Aircraft

    Step 2
Even if you've never designed an aircraft before, you can easily animate most aircraft in just seconds. It takes almost no experience to use the Wizard.

The Wizard will tell you what types of animation it can perform for the selected aircraft:

    • Rotating Propellers
    • Moving Flaps
    • Working Spoilers
    • Retractable Landing Gear
    • Shining Landing Lights

In the example to the right, Aircraft Animator has determined that it can add rotating propeller, moving landing gear and moving flaps.

Just check those parts that you'd like to animate and then click Next.

    Step 3
That's all there is to it. Just one more step. You can either save the new aircraft (AA makes a new *.mdl file and a backup of your original) or you can proceed with additional animation.

Click on the "Proceed with manual editing" radio button to perform more advanced animation.

Depending on how the original aircraft was designed, these parts may need additional "manual editing". Using the manual mode, you may also be able to animate other control surfaces:

    • Moving Elevator
    • Moving Rudder
    • Moving Ailerons
    • Transparent windows
    • NEW Landing Gear Bay Doors
    Movable control surfaces

If you're in a rush, you can order the download version of Aircraft Animator from our FlightSimDownloads.Com site. The download version does not include the printed manual, BONUS Concorde SST nor the BONUS BK-117 Police Helicopter.
