The Flight Simulator titles from Abacus are “add-ons” or “expansions” for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator. You will have to have a compatible version of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator installed on your system in order to use your Abacus Flight Sim software.
You can order Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2004 and/or Flight Simulator X directly from Abacus by clicking here.
Check the software’s System Requirements to determine the version of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator needed to run it.
Also, If you DO have the correct version of Flight Simulator on your system but you are unable to find the aircraft or scenery when running the Flight Simulator, then the software was not installed correctly.
In order for your Abacus Flight Sim software to work, it must be installed to the main folder of the Flight Simulator.
Uninstall the Abacus Flight Sim software from the Control Panel. During the re-install, check each screen carefully to be certain that it is being installed to the correct location on your computer. If necessary, click the Change button during the install to correct the path.
If you are not sure what the correct path is, you can RIGHT-click the icon you use to open the Flight Simulator. Click on Properties from the pop-up menu. Here you will see the Shortcut Properties window. Check the Start In line on this screen to determine where your Flight Simulator is. Then during the installation of the Abacus Flight Sim software, make sure the Destination Folder dialog is pointing to this same location.
